Event description

Description

Come join Redfish Rocks Community Team to kick off 2018 with a celebratory beach clean up in honor of our landmark 1967 Oregon Beach Bill, sponsored by Oregon Parks and Recreation Department!

Each year Winter storms deposit tons of interesting marine debris from around the planet onto our local beaches. Everyone's help is needed to collect and remove this debris to protect sensitive marine habitat and wildlife that depends on it.

One of a kind glass floats crafted in dedication of the 50th Anniversary of the Oregon Beach Bill will be hidden around the cleanup area, offering one last chance to find and keep these unique commemorative treasures.

To reward all intrepid marine debris gatherers and wildlife savers we're offering a free showing of Politics of Sand, food, beer and music by a local band in downtown Port Orford at the Community Building, 419 11th street.

Register for the beach cleanup by following the "register" link and next steps (Please provide your name, e-mail and phone number so we can contact you if logistics change).

This entire event is produced in partnership with and the Oregon Coast Visitor's Association.
