Description

Warm up your winter with these three hot dances - Merengue, Salsa, and Bolero. No dance experience necessary. Ballroom dancing means exercise, fellowship and fun!

January 22-February 26, 2018
Monday evenings, 6:30-8:00 pm

Offered in partnership with the Albany Area Arts Council. Class is held at the historic Carnegie Library in downtown Albany.


FAQ

Do I need to buy 2 tickets for me and my partner?

No. Just purchase one ticket. The price listed is for ONE COUPLE. You will be asked for registration information for both people.


Are there ID or minimum age requirements for this class?

There is no minimum age requirement for Ballroom Dance. Those under 18 will need to have permission of a parent or guardian. Please contact the Continuing Education office at 229-430-3867 if you are under 18 and wish to register.


Who is the instructor?

Michelle Oaks, a talented, experienced instructor who has been teaching Ballroom Dance in Albany for many years.


What if I want to take the class but have no dance partner?

These dances are partner dances and instruction is geared towards couples. If you do not have a dance partner but want to take the class, please call the Continuing Education office at 229-430-3867 and we will discuss your options.

Where is the class held and where do I park?

The class is held in the historic Carnegie Library in downtown Albany at 215 N. Jackson Street. There is plenty of parking in the lot adjacent to the building.

What should I wear to class?

Loose, comfortable clothes and shoes you can dance in. Hard soled shoes are best.

What's the refund policy?

You can request a full refund through Eventbrite up through January 12. Eventbrite will be able to refund your credit card. After January 12, this option is no longer available. At that point, you must notify Albany Tech Center for Business Solutions at 229-430-3867. It may be possible to transfer your enrollment to another person or receive a credit for a future class.

Is my registration fee or ticket transferrable?

Students enrolled in this class may transfer their enrollment to another person. Please contact the Center for Business Solutions to do so.

Will I receive college credit for this course?

No. Most continuing education classes offered by the Center for Business Solutions are NON-CREDIT courses. You may receive an Albany Technical College Certificate of Completion at the end of some continuing education courses.

What happens if I am unable to attend all of the classes in this course?

This course meets for six nights on Mondays. There will be no refund or credit issued if you missed classes.


What if the course is cancelled?

Due to minimum enrollment requirements, courses are cancelled from time to time. You will be notified if a course is cancelled, and arrangements will be made for a refund or credit. If an emergency causes a class to be rescheduled or postponed, we will notify the enrolled class members as soon as we are able to do so.
