Event description

Description

During the autumn migratory birds begin to arrive to overwinter in Florida or use our state as a temporary stopping ground to rest and refuel along their flights to farther off destinations. This time of year affords us the opportunity to see many species that aren't found here yearround or very often at all. Local birders are invited to join us for a guided hike led by St. Petersburg Audubon Society member Dave Goodwin to look and listen for some of the winter migrants at Weedon Island Preserve.

This hike may be 1-2 miles in length depending on the trails selected. Recommended for adults.
