Recreating in the great outdoors is an effective way to get exercise, relieve stress, and enjoy nature; but do you question how to minimize your impacts while exploring? This training will cover the Leave No Trace Outdoor Ethics practices including an overview of the seven principles. The session is geared towards beginner outdoor enthusiasts, but also for those that need a refresher! Interactive activities and free LNT literature and giveaways will be provided. Dress for the temperature, as activities may be outside if weather permits. Attendees are encouraged to bring a sack lunch and eat together following the training. 2 hours

This is an official WINGS event! The goal of Women in Nature Gaining Skills (WINGS) is to encourage and empower women with the skills and confidence they need to partake in outdoor recreation activities in the south central Indiana area. Each WINGS event features women-led hands-on training, with the goal of building a community of women interested in outdoor recreation. WINGS events take place on the 3rd Sunday of each month and are open to ages 16 and up.
