Along with Washington State, Oregon is one of the two younger siblings of west coast wine. Dwarfed in total output by California, Oregon nonetheless makes delicious wines that are continually increasing in popularity. In this class, we'll cover the main regions of wine production in Oregon. While Oregon is (for good reason!) most famous for its Pinot Noir from the Willamette Valley, there are many great wines from other grape varieties and other regions of the state that are well worth tasting. We'll taste six wines from across the state, and talk about producers to watch for and strategies for buying Oregon wines.
The class is limited to fifteen guests and will be held in the Library at Peck’s Arcade. Enter through Little Pecks at 211 Broadway and head upstairs. The Library is located next to the Tavern Bar.
