About HPP
Homeward Pikes Peak believes people can recover.
Every day we house and counsel people
struggling with homelessness and addiction because
they often have no other options in Colorado
Springs.
We have a variety of housing programs for the
homeless – one sober living, one for mentally ill
adults and one for disabled veterans.
There are approximately 1320 homeless adults
and children living in shelter or temporary housing
in Colorado Springs. Of those adults, an estimated
400 have either a substance abuse or
severe mental illness. We also operate an outpatient
substance abuse clinic specializing in women’s
services including pregnant women.
We help people regardless of their ability to
pay. This creates a gap in funding and where we
can use your help. We also save taxpayers over
$2 million per year just in our housing programs
by reducing ER visits, 911 calls, detox stays, and
psychiatric hospitalizations. We create selfsufficiency,
sober parents, effective employees
and dignity.
