Kick off the first Immersion Weekend sponsored by the Alliance Française de Cincinnati with a fun, interactive and educational evening of wine tastings and cheese pairings! A knowledgeable facilitator will share descriptions of select wines and cheeses. The French language will be spoken, but there will be trained facilitators to assist those who are learning the language. Join fellow francophones and francophiles for a delightful evening! During this event, bottles of wine will be available for purchase at a discount. The event begins at 8:00 pm; check-in opens at 7:30 pm. Space is limited, so reserve today! Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event?
You must be 21 years of age to attend this event.
May I register at the door?
No registrations will be accepted at the door.
I am not able to attend the Saturday workshops. May I still attend the Friday Night Wine & Cheese Pairings?
The French language will be used during the event. What if I'm a beginner?
We welcome participants of all French proficiency levels! You will receive a brief survey (from Survey Monkey) after you register so we are aware of your French conversation skills. During small group activities, there will be a fluent French "team leader" at your table to help, if need be.
What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event?
There is limited parking available near the Wine Merchant. Alternatively, you may wish to park across the street in the Rookwood Exchange parking lot or garage, particularly if you choose to spend the night at the Courtyard Marriott.
Are hotel rooms available at the Courtyard Marriott across the street for Friday and/or Saturday night?
Yes, the Alliance Francaise has a block of rooms on hold until February 9 for $149/night. Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?
Please bring your printed ticket to the event to facilitate the registration process.
If there is an unforeseen event like a snowstorm, will my money be refunded?
Due to the contractual commitment to our vendor, there will be NO REFUNDS issued for any unforseen event.
What's the refund policy?
We will gladly refund your registration in total if you cancel BEFORE 11:30 PM on WEDNESDAY, MARCH 1, 2017. NO REFUNDS WILL BE ISSUED AFTER MARCH 1st. To request a refund, go to Tickets in your EventBrite account (go here if you've never logged in before), find your order, then select "Request a Refund." The Alliançe Française will respond within 1 week, and when issued, refunds can take up to 5 business days to show on your account.
I've already paid for my ticket but I can't attend. Is my ticket transferrable to another person?
Yes. You may pass along your ticket to someone else at no charge if you notify us of their name before Wednesday, March 8. Email us at: firstname.lastname@example.org and indicate your name and the person to whom you are transferring the ticket.
