Wine Tasting Bus Tour
All you have to do is sit back and enjoy the ride. We will handle all of the details to make your day relaxing and enjoyable. Pick-up and drop-off in Scottsboro and Fort Payne (Wal-Mart parking lot).
Meet at The Social Nook by 8:30am. Everyone MUST sign a liability waiver before departure. We will travel on a modern Spirit Coach Bus. There is NOT a restroom on board. We will depart at 9am sharp. We will drive south 2hrs making a bathroom stop midway. Make sure to eat a hearty meal before we leave Scottsboro. We will have complimentary waters and snacks on the bus. Our midday meal will be around 1pm. We will play bus bingo for prizes during travel time.
First Stop - Fruithurst Winery in Fruithurst, AL. You will enjoy a private wine tasting, a history story of how Fruithurst came to be in 1894, shopping in the gift store and views of the vineyards. You will get your Alabama Wine Trail Passport at this stop. If you came on the first wine tour, you will want to bring your passport to get your stamps completed. Each vineyard will stamp your passport.
Second Stop – Just 2 miles away, we were able to squeeze in a little moonshine time at Raven Rock Distillery. You will enjoy a tasting of their “shines” and have time to browse their unique shop. They have shirts, glasses, pottery, leather and various other goods emblazoned with their Raven; most of these goods are locally produced and handmade.
Third Stop – FOOD! We will stop in Heflin, AL at the famous local hot spot, Marie’s BBQ, to fuel our bodies. Not a BBQ or meat fan? No worries, they have fresh salads & other options to choose from.
Fourth Stop – High Country Cellars in Heflin, AL. You will have your third tasting. Their diverse assortment of fruits come from the regions finest vineyards and orchards and are sure to please!
Final Stop - White Oak Vineyards in Anniston, AL. You will enjoy your last tasting of the day and have time to shop the gift store before we make our trip home. We will make a bathroom stop midway. We should arrive back in Scottsboro about 6pm.
Individual price includes – round trip transportation by Spirit Coach Bus, snacks & water, visit to three different vineyards, visit to one moonshine distillery, Alabama Wine Trail Passport, three private wine tastings, one private moonshine tasting, private history story of Fruithurst, AL, full meal at Marie’s BBQ, bus bingo for prizes and shopping at each stop. $79 per person.
