
Wine & Produce Passport Weekend- 2016

Description
At their first stop, visitors will check in for their passport wristband and passport card along with the special activity schedule specific for that weekend. Each visitor over 21 will receive a wine glass at their first winery stop. The Delta Farm & Winery Trail Guide with map is available at all stops. Passport visitors can enter a special “Traveled the Delta Grown Trail” drawing to win a fabulous basket filled with Delta Farm & Winery Trail products. Just have your Passport card stamped at 5 stops or more and turn it in at the last stop for the weekend. The drawing takes place Monday and winners will be notified by email.
Just minutes from Sacramento and Elk Grove, Delta Farm and Winery Trail members will open their farms and wineries to the public. Farms are open from 9:00am to 5:00pm and wineries from 11:00am to 5:00pm. Visitors are welcome to visit all of the participating farms and wineries in any order they choose to create their custom experience for the day or whole weekend. During Passport Weekend, enjoy farm tours, local wine tastings, farm equipment displays, and contests while traveling the Delta Farm & Winery Trail. Fresh produce, including tomatoes, pears, melons, squash, stone fruits, sweet corn, zucchini, beans, eggs, and organic produce, will be readily available at many of the farms. The Delta region is rich in history, agricultural production, natural habitats, cultural influences, and has a multitude of quaint towns; making your travels through the area a relaxing scenic drive while exploring this hidden secret of California. For those who would love to make a full weekend get-away, there are several types of lodging available in and near the Delta including hotels, cabins, RV parks, camping, and vacation homes. You will find some of them listed on our website. The event is sponsored by Raley's, Ag Source Magazine, and Delta Protection Commission.
Tickets for adults are $25 in advance, $35 week of purchase and are valid for both days. Kids under 21 are free.
Farms are open from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.
Wineries are open from 11:00 am to 5:00 pm.
