This series begins December 6th and continues through March 6th. The program of eleven classes is scheduled on Sundays from 3:00 - 5:30 p.m. in Wine World's classroom. Free parking is available in Wine World's lot on the North end of the building.
The series of eleven classes, including wine tastings of 5 wines during each class, will be offered for $29 per class or $300 for all 11 classes per person.

The first class in our new educational series!
Learn to taste like a pro! Explore the process of tasting and investigating wine in a classroom setting, while learning from one of the best wine educators, our own David Coan! You will learn how to taste wine for different classic flavor profiles, assess wine using all of your senses, and follow the deductive tasting format used by the Court of Master Sommeliers. Throughout the class you will develop your palate and knowledge through tasting 5 different wines.

Explore the difference between New World and Old World wines as you peruse different regions, varietals, and production methods from around the world! You will get to know wine regions and learn to navigate viticulture maps of countries such as France, Italy, Australia, New Zealand, and Spain while tasting through 5 wines from around the world. Wine and Food pairing will also be discussed. Wine 101 is recommended before this class.

A special pre-holiday class! Join us to learn about all kinds of bubbles just in time for celebrating Christmas and ringing in the New Year.
Champagne, Cava, Prosecco the list goes on..... Bubbles from around the world will be the topic, what exactly is Champagne? How is it made? Is all sparkling wine Champagne? Will be answered in this sparkly class. Five wines

Our fourth class in this exciting and educational wine series!
From Alto Adige to Sicily, Italy has over 3000 grape varieties and a 4000 years of winemaking under its proverbial belt. We will taste classic wines and possibly some that you have never even heard of from David's favorite wine producing country -- the home of Chianti, Valpolicella and Nebbiolo and so much more. We will also study Italian wine laws. Five wines per class and a tour of this wonderful country.

The fifth and sixth classes in our wine education series! We have so much information one French wine that we split it into two courses.
Champagne, Burgundy, Bordeaux... The list of classic regions goes on and on here in France. You'll learn exactly what Methode Champagnoise is and what grapes are allowed in each of the areas that we study. The term "terroir" originated here, and if you are intrigued this class is a must attend! Five wines per class will be tasted.

Welcome to the land of Tapas and Rioja, Sherry and Cava. Join David as we tour Spain and Portugal and taste our way through this classic Old World country. The Tempranillo of Toro is deeply rich, highly extracted and unctuous, if you have never had one now is your chance! Portugal the land of Oporto Five wines will be tasted in this class.

The eighth edition of our enlightening and entertaining class series!
From Australia we have Shiraz, Chardonnay, Riesling, and Cabernet, while New Zealand brings us Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Noir. Delve into the history and climate of these two wine growing countries and learn about the terroir of Australia and New Zealand in a fun learning environment. Five wines will be tasted in this class.

Our ninth wine education course of the series!
Join us on a gustatory trip through South America, including Chile, Argentina, and Patagonia. Chile produces the "lost grape" of Bordeaux, Argentina has its national grape, and Patagonia produces Gewürztraminer and Cab Franc. Exciting things are going on in this area! Five wines will be tasted in this class.

The tenth class in our premier 2016 wine class series!
Join us for a study of the 13 AVA's in our beautiful state, including where they are and why they are so good! We'll focus on Hometown heroes, the Woodinville explosion, Rattlesnake Hills, Walla Walla, Pinot Noir from the Willamette, Cabernet from Southern Oregon and a shared AVA with Idaho. Five wines will be tasted in this class.

Napa Valley, Sonoma, the Russian River Valley, we could go on and on... California has the most AVAs per state in the country with 130 wine growing appellations! Chardonnay, Cabernet, Zinfandel, and more are all grown here in California. Five wines will be tasted in this class.
