Wine Blending Experience at Dogpatch WineWorks
Thursday, April 4, 2013 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM (PDT)
San Francisco, CA
During this 2-hour blending experience, we'll investigate Pinot Noir while working through the same steps our winemaking team uses to determine final blends. The hands-on session begins by learning how to evaluate wine from a winemaker's perspective as we dissect several base components for aromatics, flavor and texture. Once we've honed in on the individual characteristics of each wine and gained experience using the tools, we'll use knowledge gained to create several unique blends.
Throughout the session, we'll explore how climate and geography, as well as vineyard and winemaking decisions, help shape aromas and flavors in the glass.
Our Blending Experience is hands-on, fun and educational for both the collector of prized bottlings and the wine-curious novice.
When & Where
Passaggio Wines believes something magical happens when you bring wonderful friends, awesome food and great wines together.
Four generations ago, my family embarked on a journey from Italy to America. Here, they blended their heritage into new surroundings while keeping the Italian winemaking traditions alive.
After a career in law enforcement, decided to continue the family's winemaking tradition by accepting a cellar hand and lab analysis position at Chateau St. Jean. I never turned back. With experience, my responsibilities increased and by 2007, I decided it was time to start making my own wine.
As owner and winemaker at Passaggio, I love watching each new year unfold as each harvest brings forth it's beauty that ends up in your glass.
I encourage you to join me!
