Wine Around the Square 2017

What: The Sixth annual Wine Around the Square (WATS) is a progressive wine-tasting, food sampling and music event outdoors around the historic downtown Square in Murfreesboro. This major event is held on a crisp fall evening in the heart of our downtown for the entire community.

What to do when you arrive: Guests check in under the big tent on the south side inner loop of the square. Guests are required to show their driver’s license before they receive a keepsake etched WATS wine glass and an official WATS armband. More than 75 wines and a buffet supper will be available for tasting that evening at 31 retail, business and office venues around the Square. Parking is conveniently located at the City Center Parking garage located off Vine Street or South Church Street.

When: Saturday, September 16 from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m.

Main Event tickets are $60 per person and include all wine, beer, spirits and a buffet supper.

VIP tickets are $250 and include the Main Event plus the VIP party at Puckett’s Grocery & Restaurant at 114 North Church Street from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m.

History: The Power of Pink program began twelve years ago to provide financial support for the Saint Thomas Rutherford Foundation and Saint Thomas Health “Our Mission in Motion” mobile mammography, mammograms for indigent women in Rutherford County, and breast cancer education and information.

About the Saint Thomas Rutherford Foundation: The Saint Thomas Rutherford Foundation was established in 1984 to support and promote the quality medical services provided by Saint Thomas Rutherford Hospital and to raise and manage philanthropic gifts to further the hospital’s healing ministry. Contributions to the Foundation support direct care of the poor, education, new equipment, facilities and the Dispensary of Hope, the Saint Louise Clinic, the Power of Pink and the Mobile Health Unit.

No matter what the size, every gift to the Foundation has an impact and helps meet the most pressing needs of our patients and our community. And remember, when you make a donation, 100% of your gift goes directly to our programs to improve healthcare for Saint Thomas Rutherford Hospital patients now and in the future.

Sponsored by: The Saint Thomas Rutherford Foundation, a nonprofit organization. The Saint Thomas Rutherford Foundation is located at Saint Thomas Rutherford Hospital, 1700 Medical Center Parkway, Murfreesboro, TN 37129. The phone number is 615.396.4996.
