Windows Server 2016 - Multipoint Build Lab
Multipoint is an easy to deploy scaleable RDS solution that is now part of Windows Server 2016. As a role, it allows "Zero" and direct-connect, and RDP clients to the RDS server. As a feature, you get the benefits of the Multipoint management tools and consoles to an existing Server 2016 RDS server. Both of these options will be discussed and you will build your own RDS solution in the lab (see below for what to bring to class) and test it with various thin, zero and any other client devices you wish to bring that support the RDP protocol.
If you don't have any thin or zero clients to test, we will have several to loan out for the lab on a first come/first served basis. If you attended the 11/19 Raspberry PI build lab, you can bring your Pi as the Thin Client.
Previous versions of Multipoint had limitations - not now! if you tried it before, time to see what's new and changed!
When you leave, you'll have a good understanding of Multipoint deployment using both methods, and a working lab environment to continue your education after class. Hear about real world solutions already implemented using Multipoint Server.
