Event Details

Windows 8 represents the single most significant change to Windows since Windows NT, and with it comes a big opportunity for your app to “live” on the start screen of all Windows devices. For an application to be appealing on the start screen it must be alive and personal even when it is not open, and this is the purpose of Live Tiles.

In this talk, we will first go over the different notification types and delivery mechanisms while discussing benefits and drawbacks. Afterwards we will go into more detail with push notifications and the Windows Push Notification Service (WNS).

The talk is held by Daniel Volder Guarnieri. Daniel is a .NET developer in Copenhangen and have made several large .NET solutions.

Talken afholdes via LiveMeeting på https://www.livemeeting.com/cc/mvp/join?id=87WG3T&role=attend&pw=R_%5D5%24%29%22fF.
