WIN Lab Miami Launch Party at The Light Box
Thursday, March 31, 2016 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM (EDT)
Babson College, the world leader in entrepreneurship education, will host a launch party for its newly expanded Women Innovating Now (WIN) Lab accelerator program in Miami on March 31, 2016. The expansion has been made possible through funding from the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation.
Babson’s WIN Lab is a first-of-its-kind program designed to help women entrepreneurs launch successful businesses.
At the WIN Lab’s first public event in Miami, attendees will learn more about the program, how to apply, and will hear about the accelerator’s goals to help grow the local entrepreneurial ecosystem. The party will feature a keynote from Mary Biggins, Co-Founder of ClassPass and MealPass, and will showcase additional entrepreneurs from the community, including Julia Ford-Carther, Co-Founder of Bammies; Jessica Do, and Founder of PalmPress. Wyncode Academy Co-founder Johanna Mikkola will serve as an Entrepreneur-in-Residence for WIN Lab Miami, and will speak at the event.
New partners of WIN Lab Miami include Women Innovation & Technology (WIT) – a track within Miami’s homegrown technology conference, eMerge Americas, helping to propel innovation and investment in South Florida and Latin America, as well as Wyncode Academy – a coding boot camp which will be offering additional benefits to women selected to participate in the program.
The Center for Women’s Entrepreneurial Leadership (CWEL) at Babson College educates, inspires, and empowers women entrepreneurial leaders to reach their full potential to create economic and social value for themselves, their organizations, and society.
