Description

In this workshop, you will learn the fundamentals of the Wim Hof Method (WHM) and how to apply them to your training and recovery.

Your experience will include both light lecture and hands-on training as we explore the 3 Pillars of the method: Breathing Exercises, Cold Exposure, and Mindset/Commitment and how to apply them to optimize performance and recovery. We will eploring breathing mobility, mechanics and strategies pre-training, during training, and for recovery. The newest research on ice baths for recovery will be presented, along with the basic science behind how cold exposure impacts our bodies. Learn ways to train your internal focus and tap into the power or the mind.

You will be learning, moving, breathing, ice bathing, and expanding your human potential. The small group will allow you to get personal instruction. You will come away with the tools, training, and knowledge to begin or upgrade your daily practice in the Wim Hof Method.

Schedule:

Session 1: 12:00pm - 2:00pm - Breathing

Lunch break 2:00pm - 2:30pm (Light snack)

Session 2: 2:30pm - 5:00pm - Mindset/Focus & Cold Exposure

Notes:

*If you are pregnant or have epilepsy you cannot practice the method. If you have any major heart/health conditions please consult a physician before practicing the method.

*This is a full sensory experience so please refrain from wearing any perfumes/colognes, essential oils, or scented skin care products.

*Wim Hof himself will not be present at this workshop.

FAQs

What can I do to prepare for the workshop?

It's highly suggested to take some cold showers in the weeks before the workshop. This will allow you to know how your body reacts in the cold. For this, simply turn on cooler water at the end of your warm shower for 15 sec to start. Then gradually do it colder and longer up to 60 sec. You do not have to submerge your head. What if I am already doing or have completed the 10-week online WHM course?

This workshop is a great adjunct to online course as you get some personal coaching on the techniques. Experiencing the practice in a group setting is a unique experience and can be very powerful. As I went through the WHM Academy, our group sessions were the most valuable.


What can I bring into the event?

Light lunch, swimsuit, flip flops, socks, towel, and warm cozy clothes. Yoga mat if you have one.


What do I wear?

Wear comfy clothes you can move around in. Bring warm clothes.
