Event Details

Join the Deschutes Land Trust and Carol Wall to explore the Land Trust’s newest Preserve, Willow Springs! Saunter through the grassy meadow to the banks of Whychus Creek while exploring the early history of the property. Learn how it was connected to the Santiam Wagon Road, nearby Camp Polk Meadow Preserve, and the early logging history of the Sisters area. Then, learn more about the Land Trust’s vision for the Preserve including how the Preserve will eventually become better habitat for fish and wildife. Registration is required and opens 1 month prior to the event. 

 

Hike Rating: This is a moderate, 2-mile hike off-trail and through grassy meadows.

 

What to bring: Snacks/Lunch, water, sturdy hiking shoes. Dress for the weather.
