Willow Snake March
Event Information
Description
Help walk the Willow Snake up Main Street!
The fabulous Willow Snake made by Alastair Heseltine with CACV and assistance from community members shall be leaving it's current home at Dr. Sun Yat Sen Gardens on May 13th, and needs to get to Means Of Production Garden (MOP) at E' 6th and St. Catherines. We would love your help in getting it there!
With a minimum of 30 volunteers, we can collectively march the snake up the street with ease, taking turns carrying weight on poles, maybe have musical accompaniment, and as a group introduce the snake to it's new and final home at MOP on the hillside.... and feel free to bring a snack along to enjoy at the garden when we arrive.
If there is not a minimum of 30 people, the event will be cancelled and we will have to find another method of transport for our willow friend. Confirmation emails will be sent out 24 hours before the event to all participants.
Please meet at Sun Yat Sen Garden at 4.45pm Monday May 13th, we will leave with the snake at 5pm
