Event description

Description

Apologies, the events on 6/1 and 6/2 are full at this time

We will traverse the privately owned former Blue Heron paper mill site and view Willamette Falls while discussing the area's history and its future as the site of the Willamette Falls Legacy project. This will be a walking tour of approximately 1 hour (1.5-1.75 miles) over paved, but often uneven and slippery surfaces.

All tour participants must be 18 years or older. This tour is rain or shine, so please dress appropriately for the weather and wear sturdy shoes such as hiking or work boots. We will provide hard hats.

As this is a high-demand event with limited space, please be respectful of others and register only if you plan to attend. We ask that those who have previously toured the site allow others to have a chance to sign up first. Thank you for your understanding!

Is the site ADA accessible?

The tour travels over uneven ground and some stairs, though adjustments to the route may be made to accommodate mobility devices. Please let us know if you will be using a mobility device or if you have any questions.

Anything else?

We do our best to keep these scheduled tours, but please be aware that there is always a small chance that tours may be canceled due to unforeseen circumstances. Due to intermittent work on the PGE dam and unpredictable high flow events, access to affected portions of the site and close views of the Falls may not always be possible, and we apologize if these conditions arise during the timeframe of your visit.
