Will Ridenour is a musician from Greensboro NC, specializing in folkloric percussion from numerous international traditions, and the kora, a 21-stringed harp-lute from West Africa. From renditions of ancient Mande kora pieces to originals in experimental tunings, Will's music is remarkable in its depth and memorable in what it seeks to do: instill in the listener a sense of peace and wonder, like seeing a new color. Since 1998, Will has studied with master kora and percussion teachers in Mali, Senegal, Sweden, and the US and has appeared in 40 US states and 28 countries worldwide. In 2014, he released his first solo kora album, Colors of Flying.
