About this Event

Grammy nominated, multi-platinum singer-songwriter-producer Will Jordan is taking on a Pacific Rim circuit to kick off the world tour for his latest EP, Deep Sleep. Starting March 8th, Jordan is stopping in major cities along the West Coast before heading to Taiwan, China, Japan and South Korea.

City Arts Magazine described the layers of meaning Deep Sleep as “the archetypal dark night of the soul; the nurturing succor of sleep; the state of a troubled, exhausted world that can’t seem to wake up despite its blaring alarm.”

From the Hilltop neighborhood of Tacoma, Jordan has been building his presence as an independent artist in the Northwest for nearly a decade. After releasing several EPs and singles, he has performed live at Dope Music Festival, Kube 93.9 Summer Jam, Jaquees Mood Tour and Ginuwine Ice Kream Tour. He collaborated with Seattle composer Andrew Joslyn for City Arts Magazine’s Band Crush series.

Jordan’s vision includes more than sharing his music on a world tour — he is a mentor to a group of young artists pursuing careers in the music industry, and they’ll be joining him on the road.

“It’s really motivating to see Will’s commitment to his artistry and his message,” said Shailee Stevens, a student DJ and producer who has worked closely with Jordan on the tour. “He gives people an opportunity for people to create and work on their own art, which might not have been possible otherwise.”

Jordan has mentored students across the region, and meets weekly with this group of artists to refine their skills, grow their presence, manifest their goals - and most importantly, build the self-love and confidence it takes to keep going.

The Deep Sleep world tour will continue into summer and fall 2019. Heading further east, the tour will stop in major cities across the US including Houston, New York, Philadelphia and Miami. The Europe circuit will stop in the UK, France, Germany, Denmark, Romania and Croatia.
