Event description

Description

Brushy Peak is part of an essential wildlife corridor between Mount Diablo, its foothills, and the rest of the Diablo Range. Join us in exploring the grasslands, oaks, streamside corridors, and fascinating rocks at Brushy Peak. We’ll also have views of the Altamont Hills to the east and south, which continue the critical linkage to the rest of the Diablo Range. We’ll travel in a loop around the peak itself, which is a Native American site. Be sure to bring plenty of water, a snack, and dress in layers. Sturdy shoes or hiking boots recommended; hiking poles may be useful. Heavy rain cancels.
