Wildflowers Work is a day of celebration and community display in Liverpool, exploring and building on the legacy of the National Wildflower Centre (NWC).

The NWC is joining forces with Cornwall's Eden Project to continue to ensure the important 40 year legacy of Landlife, working for people and nature, and the joy and cultural energy that can spring from that. Eden horticulturists and the NWC are developing new programmes with the bold aims of reversing ecological decline and bringing wildflowers back into the UK’s living culture.

On 31st May 2018 we will welcome leading environment writer Michael McCarthy and the Eden Project, along with with other northern wildflower advocates and practitioners, to proclaim the future of the NWC's work, as part of the Eden Project.

Join us at Liverpool World Museum at 10.30am to hear about the NWC's plans to establish creative conservation projects in urban and rural areas across the country, using wildflowers as a conduit for new cultural ecology projects. A new edition of the key publication Wildflowers Work will be updated and available later in the year.

(Please book free tickets for the morning event online as space is strictly limited.)

And from 1.00pm join us in Everton Park for for the Wildflower Gathering, a chance to celebrate the return of the Everton Park wildflowers and enjoy music, food, and arts workshops.
