Event description
Join us for this wildflower walk at Eary Cushlin, identifying plants and flowers along with their edibility and uses.

About this Event

Located to the south of Dalby village, Eary Cushlin is home to one of the island's few acid bog wildflower habitats. This walk will take us down into the valley below Eary Cushlin and back up the other side, identifying plants and flowers along the way.

Please be aware that this walk may be more of a challenge than some of our others!

Some of the footpaths on this walk can be muddy and very steep in places. This walk is not advisable if you have any mobility issues, and everyone should make sure to wear suitable footwear and clothing for the weather conditions.

We hope to see many different plants on this walk, including orchids, Cottongrass, Sundew and Bog Asphodel in the acid bogs, along with an abundance of bluebells in the valley.

The start time for this event is 2pm. The walk will depart from the car park closest to the Dalby road.
