About this event
We are happy to invite you to the Wildflower Sisterhood: Retreat for Rest at The Little House at Sunnybrook Farm. We hope this one day retreat will be a warm and spacious place for you to rest. This is an unplugged, immersive experience. We will provide some limited guidance for your day, but mostly it’s a day full of space to just be. This experience is also an opportunity to break from technology and align yourself with the quiet and calm that has been calling you. This event is a collaboration between Stacy Jagger, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and Registered Play Therapist-Supervisor, and Jess Browning, a gifted and experienced Spiritual Director.
The Little House at Sunnybrook Farm, a quaint farmhouse on a beautiful ten acre farm in Columbia, Tennessee, is a place to spiritually rest and creatively reconnect in a rustic, country-side setting. Here you can expect to connect with yourself and others with like-minded values. Our farm protects presence and balance without the burden of technology. We believe in quiet imagination and its power to inspire, educate, and create more mindFULL, meaningFULL, well-rounded lives.
An Overview of the Day:
We will have coffee and tea available in the morning at 8:45 and will gather together shortly after. We will offer a few thoughtful readings and an opportunity to share how you are feeling if you’d like. Then we will move into a time of silence. There will be art supplies available including markers, colored pencils, coloring pages, paint-by-number, Buddha board water painting, clay, watercolor pens, acrylic paint, canvas, stringing beads, and collage supplies including fabric and paper. You are welcome to go outside or find cozy spaces inside.
There will be a light lunch (served in silence) made with simple, real foods that we hope feel nourishing to body and soul. We will conclude our time in silence at 3 PM and gather together. The space will be open to share how the day was for you. There is no requirement to share. We will end our day at 4 PM.
Some things you might consider bringing: a journal, a cozy throw blanket, any kind of handwork you enjoy such as embroidery, knitting, etc. Your comfiest clothes and fuzzy socks are most welcome!
Lastly, if you have any food allergies would you reach out and let us know? We would be happy to answer any questions about the day, so please feel free to email.
We are so looking forward to being with you!
