Wildfire Preparedness Nature Walk
Sat. Sept. 30, 10 a.m. - 12 p.m.
This program is free but limited to 25.

See how wildfire preparedness works from a firefighter’s perspective! How can you protect your home and family from wildfire? Join City of Boulder wildfire specialists Jamie Carpenter and Erin Doyle and OSMP Ranger Lisa Goncalo for an easy hike to learn some ways to “harden” your house to survive a wildfire – fire-resistant building materials, defensible space, family disaster preparedness, and how the city is preparing for wildfire. As an added bonus, visit a prescribed burn site to learn how foresters use fire to increase forest health and biodiversity. Meeting location provided when you register.
