Wilderness or Eden? Living & Working Outside the Corporate World - ii Salon
Event Information
About this Event
"So, you want to leave the corporate world and pursue an independent existence.
Besides confirming that it’s the right thing for you, the only thing you have to figure out now is how to do it!
In this Salon we’ll be discussing exactly that, and more:
- Strategy and tactics: When is the right time to leave the corporate world? How much money do you need to have saved? Can current corporate colleagues help?
- Fear: What happens if everything goes horribly wrong, and you wind up living in a box??
- Finance: What’s a burn rate? Treating yourself like a startup.
- Psychology: Are you running toward an independent passion, or just running away from a currently bad job?
- Polymathy: Do you have a lot of interests and disparate skills, but you’re just not sure how to bring them together?
Whether you’re tucked under the wing of a megacorporation, or an independent worker out in the elements, all are welcome to attend this salon and share what they know." - Salon Host Daniel Golliher
