Join us for an inspiring collaborative evening between WILD (The Women In Lancaster Digital Network) and LWID (Lancashire Women in Digital) as we come together to share insights, celebrate achievements, and strengthen our digital communities.
This event brings together expertise from both networks, featuring micro-training sessions, interactive activities, and plenty of networking opportunities. Whether you're looking to build online communities, navigate client boundaries, or explore data governance, this evening offers valuable insights for digital professionals at every stage of their journey.We encourage all those who are women and non-binary and working in digital spaces across Lancashire and surrounding reasons to attend this collaborative event.

6:00-6:10pm – Intros & Welcomes
6:10-6:20pm - Dr Alice Ashcroft (WILD) Building communities online (WILD and otherwise) – how do spaces feel when we feel we belong there? How can we adapt this to other areas of our life? An introduction of WILD followed by a quick activity on sense of belonging.
6:20-6:30pm - Lesley Walsh (LWID) Can You Just…? The Power of Saying Yes (and Then Charging for It) How we turned those offhand tech requests into a sustainable support model for small businesses. It's about setting boundaries, solving problems, and providing support to the people who need tech help the most. For anyone who's ever accidentally become everyone's 'Can you just…?'
6:30-6:40pm - Amy Holland (WILD) Data Protection 101: it's not just passwords and panic. Ever wondered why data security matters? Like, really matters? This quickfire talk will help you be more confident in the decisions you make online.

6:50-7:00pm - Liz Hardwick (LWID) Demand-Driven and Dialogue-Led: 7 years of Lancashire Women in Digital Join us for a reflective mini-session charting 7 years of Lancashire Women in Digital - a demand-driven, dialogue-led journey of growth, grit, and community. Together, we'll explore the highlights and create a shared timeline of where we've been and where we're heading. Interactive activity included.
7:00-7:10pm - Joanne Ainscough (WILD): Bridging the Digital Divide Joanne will end the evening by talking about her experience translating technical concepts into accessible and understandable concepts. It’ll be your opportunity to ask about technologies you might not understand, and develop your skills on teaching others.
