Description

The Wild Things 2019 conference will be held on Saturday, February 23rd, 2019 between 9:00am and 6:00pm at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center, 5555 N River Rd, Rosemont, IL 60018.

The conference will feature over 100 Presentations, 60 Exhibits, and a multitude of Performances, Poster Sessions and Networking Opportunities celebrating this region’s nature and how people enjoy and protect it.

With our larger venue, Wild Things may host up to 3,000 attendees this year.

The 2019 Keynote speaker will be Gary Nabhan, noted ecologist and author of many books including Enduring Seeds (1989), The Forgotten Pollinators (1996), and Food from the Radical Center (2018). Mr. Nabhan’s talk is entitled: Restoring Nature, Food and Justice.

Once you purchase tickets on the Eventbrite website you will be given your own page on Sched, an app where you can build a personal schedule and find conference details such as session schedules and descriptions, speaker bios, and lots more. You can even use the Sched app on your phone to plan your schedule on conference day.

As in previous years, all sessions are first-come, first-served, but we do ask that you select sessions and create a schedule on Sched. This provides important information that will allow us to assign the largest rooms to the most-requested sessions.

Exhibitors, Sponsors and Scholarship Recipients: LIMITED AVAILABILITY - Please contact Wildthingscommunitychi@gmail.com to reserve tickets. Once a reservation is confirmed, you will receive an email with access codes for registration through Eventbrite.

Session Descriptions and room assignments may shift up until the publication of the printed conference program.

When you arrive at the conference, please come to the Registration Desk to sign in and pick up your badge and Official Program.
