Event description

Description

Join us for an exploration of the edible, medicinal & native plants of the Bay Area. Fall brings the ripening of acorns, bay nuts, rose hips, figs and much more. Learn traditional and modern uses of these foods and more and how to identify dozens of plants you may walk by everyday. This is also a good time to deepen your plant identification skills as many species begin to lose their leaves and fruits. We will also key out some common medicinal plants to help boost your bodily systems throughout the winter.

Meet these plants, trees and fruits in their natural environment and learn techniques of foraging responsibly and regeneratively. Our walk will conclude with a sampling of wild food prepared into tasty dishes. This easy walk will take place at a local park within 20 minutes of Berkeley and will span less than one mile.

Location will be sent to participants after ticket purchase.

Space is limited to 11 participants.
