Event description

Description

Grab a notebook and join Zaac on a guided tour of a bewildering and oft-missed nature within the city. We will seek to recognize ecologically-sound nourishment from “invasive”, “parasitic” “pests” or otherwise unwanted plant and fungal life ubiquitously found growing itself in spite of human intention. On our journey through Earth’s own sustainability expect to find nutritious tendrils, sweet fruits, medicinal roots and protein-rich mushrooms.

Often consulted for field expertise regarding fungi, Zaac guides people through realms in which details matter immensely. Zaac’s skills are occasionally requested by Harvard University and the New York Botanical Gardens for rare and disappearing species’ surveys.

Meet at 3:15pm at the Alice in Wonderland Statue in Central Park (North of Conservatory Water & 74th Street off 5th Avenue on the East side of Central Park).

The tour will start promptly at 3:30pm sharp.
