Event description

Description

In the heart of the Adirondack Mountains, only a couple of hours from Montpelier, lies a wealth of opportunities for experiencing the wild northern forest. From our base camp on the shore of Rollins Pond we will visit ancient boreal forests, search for bog-nesting birds, canoe the Racquette River, and explore the alpine summits of Whiteface Mountain. We will explore The Wild Center (the flagship natural history museum of the Adirondacks), tour the nature center at Paul Smith’s College, and visit the Adirondack Wildlife Refuge. A full weekend adventure to the north woods!
