Woman in Film Ceremony: Honoring Persia White
Saturday, September 22, 2018
5:00pm-6:30pm: Red Carpet Party with live music, desserts and drinks (included with price of ticket)
6:30pm - 8:30pm: Film Screenings + Ceremony Honoring Persia White + Audience Q&A
***Persia White, Joseph Morgan, & Mecca White will be in Attendance***
Red Carpet Party begins at 5pm - Enjoy Live Music (with Kim Boyko), drinks and treats on us while you mingle on the red carpet!
Film screenings begin at 6:30pm and include:
- Carousel - Written by Persia White and Joseph Morgan, Directed by Joseph Morgan
- Juice Truck - Written & Directed by Mecca White, Produced by Mecca White, Persia White, and Joseph Morgan

After the screenings, we will have our Woman in Film Ceremony honoring Persia White as this year's WIFF Woman in Film Honoree, as well as an Audience Q&A with all filmmakers.
*Limited tickets are available for our "Golden Evening Experience" for $85 which grants front rows seating (within the first 5 rows) of the stage/screen to the Woman in Film Ceremony, Films, and Q&A in this block, as well as the film block following this one "Film Block #3". Westfield International Film Festival presents the “Woman in Film Award” to honor and celebrate women in the film industry who exemplify our definition of success. This year's honoree is Miss Persia White!
Persia White is an actress best known for the TV series GIRLFRIENDS, and THE VAMPIRE DIARIES.
Persia is also a passionate filmmaker and musician. Co-producer of the award- winning documentary “EARTHLINGS” narrated by Joaquin Phoenix. Persia has directed and performed in the music video “Strange Fruit,” as well as the short film “Emotional Landscapes” for Ovation and Russell Simmons.
She is the co-founder of Night Owl Productions where she co-wrote, produced and starred in the short films 'Revelation' and 'Carousel' and is currently in post-production for Danny Strong’s new FOX TV show ‘PROVEN INNOCENT.’
