The "Wieczor Koled" combines elegance with fun. We Americans of Polish descent celebrate our dual heritage by singing Christmas carols in both Polish and English. The chorus is “do-it-yourself” – everyone sings. There are songbooks, and a pianist provides the melody.
Part of Polish culture is good food. After the singing wraps up, we share oplatek and proceed to a sumptuous buffet of authentic Polish food.
The event starts at 4:00, with cocktail hour; you can meet new people or catch up with old friends. At about 5:00 we start singing. By about 6:00 the singing wraps up, and the food buffet begins. The evening will be winding down around 7:30.
This is a fund raiser. A portion of excess revenues will be donated to the Museum. The event is expensive to put together (food, drinks, security, and clean-up) so the standard donation this year is $35. (This price includes food and drink.) Students, children, and early-bird registrants get a discounted rate. Please do register early; it helps us plan.
Who should attend: All Americans of Polish descent, friends, and persons interested in sharing the cultural experience are welcome. This is a family event; well behaved children are welcome.
Abundant, free, on-site parking is available at the Museum.
