Event description
What role are you playing to promote healing and foster cross-cultural community?

About this Event

The Women’s Inter-Cultural Exchange, Inc. (WIE) is an award-winning non-profit organization, focused on the development of platforms and programming that foster cross-cultural engagement and opportunities for intentional dialogue around issues of race, equity, and inclusion, designed to build trust across difference…which we believe are needed today more than ever.

On May 4th, WIE will host a virtual, interactive conversation,  Embracing Your Inner Superhero to Create Change and Transform Communities, where participants from across the country will come together to discuss how each of us has the ability to create change and impact our communities by tapping into our unique gifts and talents: our SUPERPOWERS. The event will kick off with keynote speaker Cynthia Marshall, CEO of the Dallas Mavericks and the first Black female CEO in the NBA, who will share how she has used her superpowers to shatter glass ceilings and effect change throughout her life and career.

Following Ms. Marshall’s remarks, attendees will participate in an interactive WIE Cross-Cultural Conversation in small-group virtual breakout sessions led by facilitators from WIE and its men’s affiliate group, the Champions. Participants will also learn about WIE’s suite of tools and resources that can empower individuals and organizations to continue the work of building trust across racial and cultural difference through hosting WIE Cross-Cultural Conversations in their homes, churches, workplaces and community groups.  The WIE Cross-Cultural Conversation platform is powerful and has been described as “life changing” by former participants.

Registration for the WIE National Cross-Cultural Conversation is complimentary, thanks to the generosity of our sponsors.  Space is limited, however, to 100 participants, so register today!
