Description
WiDS aims to inspire and educate data scientists worldwide, regardless of gender, and support women in the field. WiDS started as a conference at Stanford in 2015. Now, WiDS includes a global conference, with 150+ regional events worldwide.
On the 2nd of March, 2020 Austin is joining the international conference. Our program contains a talks by data scientists and a panel discussion with women in data science focusing mainly on diversity and mentorship. The local event in Austin will have a special session, The AI Health Data Challenge will be kicked off by UT Austin and will be open to data science community regardless of gender.
The opening ceremony at WiDS Stanford will be live streamed for 90 min followed by a key note speaker in Austin. The attendees will have opportunities to choose from two tracks:
Early afternoon tracks are tentatively names as Data Science Challenge & Community Projects/Mentorship. Mentorship discussions and challenge discussions will continue during the coffee break.
Mentors are welcome to sign up.

Second half of afternoon we will have two tracks discussing AI Road Map and Implementations and Data Preparation and Modelling. Each track will have panels.
The event is free, but registration is required by eventbrite!
