WiCHacks is an all women's 24-hour hackathon hosted by Women in Computing at Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT). A hackathon is a collaborative programming event in which participants create an app, website, game, or other piece of software over the course of the event. Hackathon participants can be female college (including non-RIT) or high school students who are between the ages of 16 and 26. The 4th annual hackathon will be held on February 24th (Newbie Track) and February 25th-26th, 2017.
The Newbie Track will take place on Friday, February 24th, 2017 from 5 PM-9 PM (EST). Although that is the end of the track, Newbies are encouraged to return on Saturday morning and participate in the hackathon.
The Hacker Track will begin on Saturday, February 25th, 2017 at 8 AM (EST) and will continue until Sunday, February 26th, 2017 at 3 PM (EST). Any Newbies or Hackers that are under the age of 18 must leave the campus from 12 AM - 6 AM.
