Program Objectives


  • Provide Transplant Nurses, Coordinators, RNs, and other Healthcare Professionals relevant data and current trends in managing patients pre and post solid organ transplantation 
  • Share timely research findings, methods of treatment, organ procurement and allocation practices that offer positive outcomes for the transplant recipient
  • Discuss issues affecting graft survival including renal insufficiency, medication management strategies and organ quality 
  • Describe current challenges in pre and post transplant management and best practices for successful outcomes 
  • Identify interventions at various stages in the transplant process to improve long-term outcomes
