About this Event
Join us for a free, virtual screening of 'Why we Cycle'. We recommend the 11/19 (7-9pm) showing for general audience and the 12/3 (12-2pm) showing for industry practitioners, but welcome you to attend whichever best fits your schedule.
To the Dutch, cycling is as normal as breathing. In this documentary, ‘Why we Cycle,’ we take a ride with ordinary cyclists and specialists from a variety of disciplines. These conversations uncover some obvious, but even more hidden effects of cycling on people, societies, and the organization of cities.
This screening will be followed by a live discussion on Microsoft Teams with a panel of local stakeholders, all of whom we consider to be experts in the fields of sustainability and public transportation infrastructure.
Update: Panelists for 12/3 include...
- Karen Yacos, Executive Director of Local Motion
- Laura Jacoby, Executive Director of Old Spokes Home
- Stu Lindsay, Valet Bike Parking Coordinator, World Traveler at Local Motion
- Jon Kaplan, VTrans Bike and Pedestrian Program Manager
Please look to your confirmation email for instructions on how to access the discussion and screening.
