Forests and woodlands are essential to our environment and play a crucial role in our natural landscapes. Please join the Tippecanoe Soil & Water Conservation District at our Annual Meeting & Dinner. Learn the "how and why" of managing your woodlands now so that you are able to create a forest and wildlife legacy for the future.
Doors will open at 5:45 pm for check-in and the event will begin with dinner being served at 6:00 pm. The pork barbeque meal is being prepared by Shoup's Country Foods Catering, a family-owned business from Frankfort, Indiana.
The evening will consist of a very brief business meeting, a supervisor election and the presentation of conservation awards. Promising to deliver fundamental information relative to the management of your woodlands, our speaker will be Lenny Farlee.
Lenny is an extension forester with the Hardwood Tree Improvement and Regeneration Center at Purdue University. He has a BS in Forestry and Wildlife Management and a MS in Silviculture. Before joining the Purdue staff at the Department of Forestry in 2007, he worked with the Indiana Division of Forestry as both a nursery forester and a district forester for a total of 18 years.
Be sure to join us on February 22nd for an interesting and informative evening! The cost of the dinner is only $10, plus online processing fee.
SEATING IS LIMITED AND RESERVATIONS ARE REQUIRED.
