Description

In commemoration of Mahatma Gandhi’s birthday, the Peace, Justice and Human Rights (PJHR) Initiative, Auroras Voice, and Gandhi Square are pleased to welcome Rajmohan Gandhi to FAU to share his insights on why his grandfather’s views on nonviolence, forgiveness and peaceful revolution are still relevant in the 21st century.

Rajmohan Gandhi is the son of Devdas Gandhi (1900-1957), Mohandas “Mahatma” Gandhi’s youngest child. He is a research professor at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, and the author of a dozen books including Gandhi: The Man, His People, and the Empire and his most recent, Why Gandhi Still Matters: An Appraisal of the Mahatma’s Legacy. He has been involved in peace and human rights activities throughout his life, including serving as president of Initiatives of Change International and as a member of the Indian parliament.



The event will be hosted on the Florida Atlantic University- Davie Campus.Attendees of the event are asked to enter the campus from the College Avenue, next to the FAU baseball fields.
