About this event

Family & Education • Parenting

"Why do children behave badly when they don't want to do something?"

"Why is homework such a battle?"

"Why is my child reluctant to try new things or gives up easily when the going gets tough?"

If this sounds familiar, you are not alone.

We don't want our children to miss out, and we also want them to be able to do things that other children seem to manage so effortlessly.

There is something we can do to help!

This online session will help you to understand:

  • What happens when our child is learning or facing something new
  • WHy we see difficult behaviour and reluctance to start or carry on
  • what we can do to help them build resilience so that they don't give up so easily

This interactive session and popular session is part of the Supporting Links Bitesize Parenting Collection; this one hour event will take place via Zoom and will include a Q&A.

Previous attendees have said:

"It was so valuable to have chance to reflect and remind myself of things to keep in mind when I try to help my child"

The workshop is provided free to parents by Herts County Council and it is open to all parents and carers of children aged 2-25 years old who are living in Hertfordshire.
