Dr. Michael Barber

I am the Associate Professor of Scripture and Theology at the Augustine Institute (Denver, CO). I hold a Ph.D. in Theology from Fuller Theological Seminary in Pasadena, CA. I also received a B.A. in Theology and Philosophy from Azusa Pacific University, where I minored in New Testament Greek and an M.A. in Theology from Franciscan University. In addition, I have written a number of academic articles and books, including, I speak at Catholic parishes, conferences, and other events and conferences around the country. My wife Kim and I live in Aurora, CO, with our six wonderful children.

Jim Burnham

Jim Burnham, a life-long Catholic, is an internationally known apologist, author, and teacher of Catholic doctrine.

Jim currently serves as the director of San Juan Catholic Seminars, a lay organization devoted to explaining and defending the Catholic Faith, which he co-founded with his late father. Jim appears regularly on the global Catholic radio program, “Catholic Answers Live,” as well as being interviewed on various other Catholic radio shows.

Jim co-hosted EWTN’s “Carpenter Shop” television series with Steve Wood, and he co-authored the hugely popular series of Beginning Apologetics booklets — clear, simple apologetics handbooks showing ordinary Catholics how to effectively explain and defend their Faith. He also co-authored the book Christian Fatherhood, with Steve Wood.

Jim and his wife Lisa have been married for 20 years and have six children. They reside in New Mexico.

Steve Wood

Steve Wood has led youth, campus, and pro-life ministries. A graduate of Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary, he served as an Evangelical pastor for a decade before his entire family converted to Catholicism in 1990. Responding to a challenge from Pope John Paul II to strengthen families, he founded the Family Life Center International in 1992.

Steve is the host of Faith and Family Radio, a weekly radio program covering relevant topics to the Catholic faith and family life issues. He is the author of several books. Steve is also the founder of St. Joseph’s Covenant Keepers, a men’s movement that seeks to transform society through the transformation of fathers and families.

In 2007, Pope Benedict XVI awarded Steve the “For the Church and for the Pope” (Pro Ecclesia Et Pontifice) medal, an award given for distinguished service to the church.

Steve and his wife Karen have been married for 35 years and are the parents of eight children and the grandparents of seven grandchildren.
