Following a recent string of performances for TradFest, Eastern Promise and Sound Festival, as well as radio play on BBC Radio Scotland and BBC nan Gàidheal, WHɎTE perform songs from their debut album, Fairich, at Underdog, Aberdeen.
WHɎTE is Alasdair Whyte and Ross Whyte – no relation. Each from very different musical backgrounds (traditional Gaelic and ambient electronica), their songs have drawn comparisons with Sigur Rós and Martyn Bennett.
"I was blown away by WHɎTE. Hauntingly beautiful vocals immersed in sensitive layers of sympathetic electronica. I think this type of interpretation and direction could be important for Scottish music in general and Gaelic in particular. " Alun Woodward (Chemikal Underground Records)
