This is an eight week, two and a half hour group work program on child to parent/carer violence (CPV) aimed at individuals whose children abuse them or appear to be out of parental control. The program outline is:
- Presentations, questionnaires and genograms
- Causes and influences of abusive behaviour
- What is abuse
- What can I control in my child's life?
- Results
- Anger and debunking the myths of anger
- Assertiveness
- Self care, future goal setting and evaluation
- Progress follow-up after two months on achieving goals, evaluation and further goals
