About this Event
We are going to try something a little different. This year we are going to offer a weight loss program where you go on walks in your neighborhood or on your favorite trail while attending our Wholly Yours group meetings. What better way to put your intention into action! We will use a walking event as a hands on example of goal setting. Participants will set individual, weekly short term goals. We will support one another to obtain our walking individual goals.
To learn more, join us for this interest meeting/walk. Feel free to join online or by dial in by phone ~ I've listed the dial in number at the bottom of this description. Please note that you don't HAVE to walk during our meetings, but you can if you want. We will have one group facilitator who is walking and one who is joining the Zoom meeting from her home office.
Your “why” behind your decision to make changes towards a healthier lifestyle varies from other persons. For some it might be to find relief from pain, to gain better self confidence, to reverse a negative trajectory for a health issue, etc. Finding that why and keeping it in the forefront of your mind throughout your weight loss journey can be helpful to maintain motivation and adherence to your weight loss plan.
We will also introduce the concept of a whole person approach to weight loss. In the Wholly Yours program, you are invited to invite your whole self into your goal of losing weight. You will be invited to see how the various dimensions of your being (physical, intellectual, emotional, relational, and spiritual) are affected by your current state of holistic wellbeing and you will learn how through our program we will teach you to leverage all of those dimensions in order to find the greatest level of success possible in your weight loss goal.
Your Facilitators
Meetings will be facilitated by two health and wellness coaches showing you how to invite your whole self into your goal of losing weight.

American Council on Exercise Health & Fitness Coach
I am blessed to be on a successful fit lifestyle journey that started in my forties. I am certified by the American Council on Exercise to teach group fitness and to provide health coaching. I enjoy encouraging others to take that baby step toward a goal and then cheering them on as they run to the finish line. I am a believer that exercise is for everyone, you just have find what gets you gets you moving.

With over 25 years work experience in healthcare and spiritual direction training, my greatest joy is to companion people on their journey towards wholeness. My coaching style focuses on discovery of a healing and sustainable life balance, finding your strengths that can shore up your weaknesses, and discovery of a healthier sense of wellbeing and a more complete overall wholeness through the awakening of all the dimensions of self. I am also a member of The Order of Sustainable Faith, the monastic expression of the Vineyard movement. As a monk, I will often use guided reflection and contemplative practices to help awaken the awareness of life truths previously hidden or unclear.
