Event Details

Our annual History & Culture Series kicks off in April of 2020, with an event lineup sure to entice! We start by bringing a favorite back; Club member and author Doug Bradley will join us to talk about his new book, “Who’ll Stop the Rain.”

Doug Bradley is an author, educator, and Vietnam war veteran from Madison, WI. Throughout the book, Doug tries to answer the question, “what will it take to bring us together after a war that so bitterly divided us?” Turns out, as Doug demonstrates, music is a good place to start. A chorus of voices in Who’ll Stop the Rain–famous and anonymous, female and male, veteran and non-veteran, American and Vietnamese–suggests new possibilities for understanding the legacy of Vietnam and, ultimately, for bringing the men and women who served their country in that controversial war home for good.

Event price is $50 per person and includes dinner. Registration is open to all Madison Club members, and guests are welcome.
