Participating farmers will receive a free copy of the Wholesale Success: A Farmer's Guide to Food Safety, Selling, Postharvest Handling and Packing Produce manual. Normally a $70 value, this 316 page manual is newly updated and in its fifth printing. Wholesale Success covers up-to-date best practices information on food safety, postharvest handling, packing, business management, marketing, and crop-specific profiles for over 100 crops.

The training will be led by Atina Diffley from FamilyFarmed. Atina Diffley is a farmer and author of the 2012 award-winning memoir, Turn Here Sweet Corn: Organic Farming Works. She will offer first-hand expertise, practical and scale appropriate systems, step-by-step recommendations, and group dialog for farmers to succeed in selling wholesale.
