Whole Foods Market - Seeds for the Bayou (Kids' Day of Service)
Saturday, September 7, 2013 from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM (PDT)
At Whole Foods Market, we adhere to a set of core values that truly keep our community and environment at the forefront of our thoughts and actions. This year, in support of our Whole Kids Foundation, we are hosting our innagural Kid's Day of Service. We are providing kids in our community the opportunity to volunteer and give back to a local organization.
Whole Foods Market Kirby has partnered with Buffalo Bayou Partnership to provide the unique, fun and messy exprience of making seed bombs for Japhet Creek Park! Volunteers will get to take home Seed Bombs to plant at home and the rest will be scattered along the creek. This will be a 2 hour, family-friendly volunteer project held at Whole Foods Market Kirby on the patio, followed by lunch. We look forward to a fun and messy time with you as we help beautify our own backyard!
VOLUNTEER JOB DESCRIPTION (ages 2 - 65+)
Volunteers will be soaking seeds, mixing clay and seeds together and rolling the seed balls to get them ready for planting.
WHAT TO WEAR
You will get messy for this one so old t-shirts, jeans and shorts are a good idea.
SNACKS AND HYDRATION
Whole Foods Market Kirby will provide water and light snacks during the event and a light lunch after.

We ask that each volunteer bring a signed copy for themselves and any children who are participating so that we can all stay safe. The form will be available on site and can also be emailed at your request.
