Whole Foods Market - Decorate to Donate (Kids' Day of Service)
Saturday, September 7, 2013 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM (PDT)
San Fernando, CA
Calling all volunteers - join us in honor of Whole Kids Foundation for a day of fun decorating re-usable shopping bags to donate to under funded families in the San Fernando Valley. We will fill the bags with food items donated by numerous Whole Foods Market vendors. Volunteers will with be invited to once again come together in early December to donate the bags at the annual San Fernando Tree Lighting ceremony.
We're excited to have the opportunity team up with LIFT-Levantate & the City of San Fernando Parks & Recreation for a day of creativity! LIFT-Levantate is a comprehensive fitness, nutrition and life skills program for low-income children and their families in under-served communities. This will be a family-friendly, 2-hour project for ages 4 and up. This event will be a fun filled day for customers, team members & kids to team up and give back to the community. Not only will we be expressing our creativity but LIFT-Levantate will get us all active by hosting mulitple family-friendly activities throughout the event like Zumba and Yoga.
Since we will have worked up quiet the appitite after our volunteering Whole Foods Market will host a Rainbow build-your-own salad bar. What better way to end a day of service than by eating well with our community memebers!
Thank you and look forward to volunteering together!
